Built in the 1170s as the princely church of the Yaroslavych dynasty; by 1289 it already served as a cathedral. Here Lutsk officials swore their oaths, court sessions were held, and the acts of the castle chancery were kept. After more than six centuries of existence the church fell into decay and was dismantled in 1775–1776.
